Our habits become our character

We are creatures of habit. Everything we think, say and do is a result of deep-seated habits etched into our minds through years and years of repetitious behaviour. Our day to day activities become our habits. Our habits become our character. Hence we should inculcate good habits in our life.

We should develop good habits such as early rising, being punctual, studying smart, eating healthy foods, keeping ourselves fit, taking responsibility, giving respect to elders, being filled with enthusiasm etc.

We should stay away from bad habits such as eating junk food, procrastination, being lazy, blaming others, humiliating elders, bullying colleagues, keeping bad company, avoiding responsibility, developing negative attitude etc.

Good habits lead to successful character. Bad habits not only prevent success in life but also lead to the degeneration of character. It is attended with other vice which undermine the foundation of our character.

Good habits create virtues. A person with good habits builds his life on the strongest foundation. On the other hand, with bad habits comes idleness, loss of capacity to work hard and so on.

The way you think is the key to everything. What you focus on persists and grows. Hence always think that you are the most responsible person born to achieve big things in your life.

Remind yourself that you will make your parents and school feel proud of you and ensure yourself that you follow good habits every day.
